a cousin compared photos of outlaw cole younger of the jesse james gang,and this guy looks a lot like him, it was known cole younger used JOHN HOWARD as an alias.i can't confirm this as i don't study old west history,a story has it that our WILL rode with the JAMES gang,just a story.

Several people on the internet said the man standing is JESSE JAMES. if this is so then the man sitting is not WILL MOORE.

also this story in our family has it that a sheriff & 5 deputys went to a dance to arrest WILL, he started shooting and all 6 lawmen lay dead,he walked out an left. just a story or fact?.

  about 1965-68.is photo was used on an old west documentry, maybe the show hosted by  GARY COOPER?.

we wish we knew who has a copy of this photo.

WILL was a gambler & gunman,and lover of  women!.WILL was last seen in 1912-17 in Claiborne County,TN.

his brother JOHN MARION lived there near TAZEWELL. He was my grandfather.

we think WILL was born in MISSIOURI,but very possibly
TEXAS.   his brother JAMES HOUSTON MOORE stated on a 1900
census his dad as himself was born in TEXAS.   their mother was botn in RAY County,MO.    her name was NANCY ANN MAYES daughter of
STERLING & SALLY CARR MAYES.  these 2 born in CLAIBORNE Co.TN.
