family. My ex-husband's children's line is

time. One John Lewis married Ann and the Other
married
Mary. The Lost Pioneer line married into the
Neville/Blakemore line and back to royalty
thought out

This is a correction email i recieved:
There are several errors in the list.
George Lewis, father of Fielding, had only one
other son. He did have at
least two daughters, probably more. Fielding
married Mary GAMBILL, daughter
of William GAMBILL and Mary WASH in Wilkes
Co., NC, and his two oldest
children (William LEWIS and Mary Ann LEWIS)
were born in NC. The rest were
born in Grainger/Claiborne Co., TN.
Charles LEWIS, brother of Fielding, married
Nancy ADAMS in Wilkes Co., NC,
and moved to Kentucky, and then eventually to
Indiana.
Fielding did NOT have a son named PETER! In
the Hansord book, "Old Time
Taswell", she lists a Peter, but does not list
Fielding, Jr. I think that
was the nickname for Fielding, Jr. My direct
ancestor, Charles LEWIS, twin
son of Fielding, Sr. also named one of his
sons Fielding, but the family
called him PETE.
George Lewis of Wilkes Co., NC shows up in
records of that county in
1778....the same time as William GAMBILL and
his brother John GAMBILL.
Their brother, Martin GAMBILL had moved to
Wilkes Co., NC earlier. William
GAMBILL was in the Revolutionary War, and
wrote his will in 1779, and George
LEWIS witnessed that will. It is assumed that
William GAMBILL died of
wounds from some sort of skirmish, but haven't
found anything to prove it.
The GAMBILLs were from Bromfield Parish,
Culpeper Co., VA. William's father
was Henry GAMBILL and his mother was Mary
DAVENPORT.

the LEWIS list has a wrong birthdate for Elizabeth
Lewis, daughter of Fielding Lewis & Mary Gambill. I
know that Mrs. Hansard calls her the 'oldest'
daughter, but she has goofed before - she calls
William Lewis' son Abraham his oldest son; actually he
was the youngest.
The 1850 Claiborne census says Elizabeth wife of
Elijah harp is 40. 1860 census for Whitley Co KY says
she's 50. The 1870 census says Elijah is 52 and
Elizabeth is 55. Assume the 1850 and 60 are correct;
this would make her born abt 1810. Your own file says
her youngest child was born 1848, Elizabeth would have
been 58 then if she was born in 1790.
I don't have any 'go to the wall' evidence of this,
just the two census and the ages of the children.
